Entice Table - Entice is a small but sturdy pull-up side table that perfectly accents seating to provide a place for you to use your electronic devices, relax with refreshments, or simply to hold a newspaper or magazine. This silver coated metal based table with white back painted oval glass, comes together easily and was designed for lounge height to complement any environment.

Pickup Table - PickUp is a portable and stackable small table designed specifically to complement seating situations where a multipurpose work surface is needed.  The perfect complement for informal meetings, collaborative brainstorming sessions, or as an individual work table.  The unique design can be stacked for easy storage, and five tables can be arranged in a circle to create a single 32" round table. The practical cutout detail in the top acts as a carrying handle and can also be used for wire management.

[health & care] Healthcare Furnishings

Healthcare facilities need a little extra care when specifying furnishings!

Hospitals and clinics have a very broad clientele, not only their immediate patients, but also their friends and families.  Many situations require family to hunker down and stay a while.  For the products I represent, Krug is the gold standard in healthcare.  However, not all projects are created equal.  Ask the question if any of these features are required in the space:

Seat Height - an increased seat height will be easier for most body types and ages to get in and out of.  Generally, a height of 17" - 19" is a good bet.  Lower than that, and some folks may have a harder time.  If you decide a lower seat height is appropriate, be sure to include arms that can be used to assist the person when getting in and out of the chair.

Clean Outs - This is a space at the back of the seat that allows dirt, debris and liquid to fall to the floor for easy clean up and maintenance.  Many are designed into the seat, keeping aesthetics in mind.  This feature does not have to detract from your design.

Removable Covers & Replacement Components - Some manufacturers offer replacement seat and back covers for a more thorough cleaning.  The manufacturer may also offer major components to be field replaced.  Hospital waiting areas can receive a lot of ware and this feature can be a very cost effective solution if damage occurs.

Finish Durability - The Krug Enduraguard finish, a proprietary catalyzed varnish formulation, has been repeatedly shown, through independent laboratory testing, to be the industry leader in durability and abrasion resistance. The Krug finish looks better longer than competitors, and is uniquely suited to the demands of healthcare environments.

Anti Microbial - Many Krug wood surfaces come with a uniquely-formulated anti-microbial finish that inhibits the growth of molds and mildews. Surfaces coated in this finish will have reduced fungal growth, and spores from germs, microbes and bacteria will not multiply on the wood.  Facilities managers love this.  With the new healthcare laws in place, facilities do not receive payment if their patients get sick while under the facility's care.  Every clean surface matters.

This is something I'm loving right now!

Environmental graphics are all the rage and there are so many ways to incorporate your graphic designs and wayfinding into your projects.  Moxie by Takeform is one of the most versatile of these options!

Print any image on these aluminum composite panels.  The image is protected by a moisture, UV, chemical and scratch resistant overlay that preserves color and extends life.  Moxie panels are engineered and tested for healthcare environments  There are no natural fibers to harbor bacteria. The height-adjustable desk trend has made its way into all sorts of other tables.  The ergonomic benefits have been well-documented, but just remember, the key is to make posture changes throughout the day.

Skyline's AST digital print process textured line pattern on one side, and chromatic vertical stripe pattern, varying in opacity on the other side.  

Skyline applied our Eco-etch process on one side of glass to present these abstractions in a rhythmic, vertical, panorama—from marshes to wildflowers and upward to trees. In the “living room,” a custom mural utilizes Eco-etch on the front and AST Digital Glass Printing with Vitracolor on the back, creating a shadowing effect for perspective and depth.
